Beautiful Galu Beach is an extension of Diani’s powder white sands but is much less busy and bigger, cleaner and quieter than Diani Beach. Diani has been voted the best beach in Africa by the World Travel Market and one of the 25 best beaches in the world by Trip Advisor. All kinds of water sports and activities are available nearby.
Along the beach road and within 10-15 minutes’ drive there are various supermarkets and a number of banks, ATM machines and shopping centres. There are several good places to eat and drink nearby including Sails Beach Bar & Restaurant, the Blue Marlin and the Salty Squid – all are just a short walk along the beach.

Diani/Ukunda Airstrip
The Ape Escape is just 15 minutes from Diani/Ukunda Airstrip which has several scheduled flights each day to and from Nairobi.

The house is around 1.5 hours south of Mombasa Island via the Likoni Ferry and the A17. Driving time from Nairobi is around 9 hours.
Self-catering Accommodation Rates
- Minimum stay – 3 nights.
- Maximum occupancy – 14 guests including children
- Minimum stay over Christmas and New Year – 7 nights.
Standard season rental rate (February-June/September-November)
- $1,200 per night for upto 14 guests
High season rental rate (July/August & December/January)
- $1,500 per night for up to 14 guests
Check in 4 pm, Check out 10 am
Stays are on a ‘self-catering’ basis including the services of chef and house staff
The owners require all adult guests to sign an indemnity / disclaimer form on arrival
