Olmaroroi is situated in a beautiful and quiet location beyond and behind the Ngong Hills in the heart of Maasailand, yet only 30 kilometres (18 miles) west of central Nairobi. The property enjoys wonderful uninterrupted views across the Rift Valley towards Mount Suswa to the West, Mount Longonot to the North and Mount Olorgesaiilie to the South.
Olmaroroi is less than 1 hour’s drive from Karen via Ngong Town – we can supply guests with detailed directions and map co-ordinates. Driving distance from Karen is approximately 31 kilometres (19 miles) and from Ngong Town approximately 23 kilometres (14 miles).
A guide on a motorcycle is available to guide guests to the house from Ngong Town – please ask for further details – and guests should ensure that they arrive in daylight as it is easy to get lost in the surrounding bush after dark if unfamiliar with the route.
A 4×4 vehicle with high ground clearance is recommended – the route to the house can be in poor condition and the last section of the road approaching the house is very rough and rocky.

All rentals are on a ‘self-catering’ basis – including the services of cook and housekeeper
Guests should bring all their food and drinks with them (limited supplies of drinking water are supplied)
Guests should bring all charcoal and firewood with them
The house is not recommended for small children of 6 years old or under (except for non-crawling infants) due to steep slopes and drops and unfenced swimming pool. Small children must be closely supervised by adult guests at all times.
A 4×4 vehicle with high ground clearance is recommended – the road to the house is unsurfaced and the last section approaching the house is rough and rocky.
